The park has a relatively new playground. There are 3-4 grills for BBQing and it's generally not very crowded on weekdays. It does have a kids baseball field and a full-size soccer field so it can get pretty crowded during games.
The park remains open from dawn to dusk. The amenities offered by the park include restrooms, drinking fountains, and seating.
The park also offers an ice arena in the recreational center. It is Fairfax County's only publicly-owned indoor ice arena and is designed for year-round use. It includes a warming room, coaches room, skates rental area, skate sharpening services, hockey team locker rooms, as well as an NHL official size rink.
